Porto Stenitis

Porto Stenitis, sometimes known as Stenitis bay isn’t a beach as such, it’s a fjord on the west coast of Zakynthos. Although there’s no beach the rocks slope into the sea making It a beautiful place for a swim with crystal clear waters and gorgeous rugged scenery.

Porto Vromi

Porto Vromi is a picturesque bay with a pair of beaches on the west coast of Zakynthos. Despite the two beaches being just 250m apart, there’s no direct link between them. Both are small pebble beaches at around 25m wide with harbours but no taverna.

Drosia

Drosia beach is a series of rocky, pebbled bays near Alykes on the north eastern coast of Zakynthos. For those itching to strike out off the beaten path, Drosia Beach is perfect, This undeveloped haven is ideal for swimmers and anyone seeking peace and quiet.

Porto Zorro

Porto Zorro beach is down in the south east corner of Zakynthos just 11km from the capital. There’s a ton of sun loungers that are quite tightly packed in. There’s so many that they cover most of the eastern side of the beach, with the western end left clear.

Gerakas

The stunning bay of Gerakas is an unspoiled section of coast that’s the perfect spot for a tranquil break away from the more tourist heavy beaches on the island. There's only a few sun beds available to rent, no water sports, no taverna and no music.

Psarou

Psarou beach is a rugged stretch of sand on the north east coast. There’s no sun loungers or water sports so it’s a lot quieter than some of the other beaches in the area but it’s still a good option for families as the sand is good and the water is shallow.

Ionio

Ionio beach is a continuation of Banana beach on the north coast of the Vasilikos peninsula, it's just 10m deep in some places but over 40 in others and around 300m long with the entire length from Banana beach up past Ionio being way over a kilometre.

St Nicholas

St Nicholas beach, also known as Agios Nikolaos is on the east coast of the Vasilikos peninsular. It’s covered in sun loungers with just a small section at the northern end left clear, this is also where you'll find the small church that gives the beach it's name.

Kalamaki

The crystal clear, shallow waters of Kalamaki Beach offer safe swimming for kids and excellent snorkelling for nature lovers. In addition to loads of fish, you might encounter a sea turtle, as this extension of Laganas Beach is a common nesting location.

Tsilivi

Tsilivi is popular with families and couples and this means the beach is also busy. Luckily it's over a kilometre long so there’s plenty of space for everyone, it's sandy and a regular recipient of the international Blue Flag award for its cleanliness.
