Agios Dionysios Church

Agios Dionysios church, sometimes also known as San Dennis is located in the centre of Zakynthos Town, on the water front and close to the harbour. it's a beacon for religious pilgrims and history-loving tourists alike.

Agios Georgios Krimnon Monastery

Agios Georgios Krimnon monastery, also known as St George Kremnon is the perfect spot to get away from the crowds and enjoy some calm. It has a beautiful courtyard with potted plants and views out over Navagio Beach and the Ionian Sea.

Agios Markos (Saint Marks) Church

Agios Markos, also known as Saint Marks is a church in the heart of Zakynthos Town, It was originally founded in the 16th century and is the only Catholic church on the Island, it has a sunny yellow facade and sits in the corner of Saint Markos Square.

Agios Nikolaos Church

The delightful little Agios Nicholaos church is a whitewashed building with red doors and gates. It's found on the south east corner of Zakynthos, just above St Nicholas beach and boasts spectacular views of the Ionian sea and beach below.

Agricultural Museum

A stone’s throw away from Alykes on the east coast of Zakynthos is the tiny village of Pigiadakia, where the Agricultural Museum has been informing visitors since 1998 on how the islands farming and crop cultivation was done over the years.

Anafonitria Monastery

Anafonitria Monastery is located in the northwestern region of Zakynthos island. First founded in the 15th century, it features a tower and an entrance archway leading to a stone courtyard that's a beautiful and serene place to spend some time.

Askos Stone Park

Askos Stone Park near Volimes has over a hundred thousand self-sown plants as well as hundreds of free-roaming animals, including goats, deer, pigs, peacocks, raccoons, donkeys and much more, many of which you can interact with and feed.

Blue Caves

The Blue Caves were discovered in 1897 and lie on the northern tip of the island, just below Skinari Lighthouse. Venture inside to see the sun light reflecting of the Ionian sea and glistening back of the white cave walls, hence the name Blue Caves.

Agios Sostis is a peaceful resort on the south east coast, it's an attractive village that's spread around the port and beach with a good selection of hotels, restaurants, bars and shops, most of which are down by the beach but some are in land too.
