Agnos is an organised beach on the north coast of
Corfu just west of
Roda and just east of
Astrakeri beach. It’s around an hours drive to or from the capital
Kerkyra.
There’s no real village at Agnos, just a couple of large hotel complexes that supply most of people who visit the beach throughout the day. If you’re not staying at one of the hotels then you can arrive by car and park on the side of the road that leads down to the sea front.
Agnos beach is sandy and shelves gently into the sea which makes this a good beach for families as little ones can play without worrying about the water suddenly getting really deep. There is sometimes strong waves in the area so you may need to keep an eye on them if that’s the case on the day you visit.
There’s sun loungers to hire, food and drink available and toilets too, there are no water sports but there is gorgeous scenery and some of the trees at the rear of the beach offer shade for those that want it. Agnos beach never feels too crowded despite it’s narrow width.
