Benitses is a coarse sand and shingle beach on the east coast of
Corfu, it’s about 15-20 minutes south of the capital
Kerkyra.
The town of
Benitses is also sometimes referred to as Mpenitses so you may find the beach called Mpenitses beach but it’s definitely the same place.
Benitses beach has calm waters and is well sheltered from the wind so it’s great for young families. The only thing to look out for is the road that runs behind the beach.
There are a small selection of water sports to keep older kids entertained and a number of tavernas along the length of the beach where you can get a delicious selection of food and a cold mythos or two.
Benitses has sunbeds and umbrellas available to hire, some would say they are a little too tightly packed but it does mean there are plenty available. Other facilities include toilets. showers and changing cubicles.
Benitses beach has a small marina to the north where you can hop on a boat tour of the island.
