Ipsos is a narrow but very long sand beach with pebbles in places, it’s located on the east coast of
Corfu about 15km north of
Kerkyra, that’s around half an hours drive.
With shallow and calm water, Ipsos beach is great for children, the water sports will keep teens entertained and the bars, shops and cafes lining the road that runs behind the beach means adults will like it here too.
There’s a couple of small marinas, one at the southern end of the beach and one in the middle. There are boat trips and boat hire available from these marinas as well as a scuba diving school that accepts both beginners and experienced divers.
Some people have said that it’s not the best beach due to noise from the road that runs the length of the beach and that Ipsos isn’t a particularly nice village as it’s largely visited by party goers and drinkers, this may be true but if you don’t mind the noise and all you want is to lay on the beach, top up your tan and take a dip in the sea then Ipsos could be the perfect beach for you.
Most people that use the beach will be those staying in
Ipsos but if you’re planning to travel to Ipsos beach then you’ll find it easy to get to, the main coastal road runs right along side the beach and parking is available at the side of the road.
