There are two resorts called Agios Stefanos in
Corfu, this one is on the north east coast, it’s about 35km from the capital
Kerkyra and that would usually take just under an hour in the car.
Agios Stefanos is a small picturesque harbour village with views out over the Ionian sea to Albania. it’s an up market resort with a selection of plush villas available to rent in the hills behind the harbour.
At the harbour you’ll find a number of tavernas and a couple of bars right on the waters edge so you can take in the views whilst watching the boats come and go and enjoying a traditional Greek meal or a glass of local wine. If you prefer you can rent a boat from the harbour and take in the local coast line in your own time.
Agios Stefanos is popular with couples and in particular those seeking a slower pace on their Greek island holiday.
If you were looking for the other resort on the north west coast then go to
Agios Stefanos North West.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Agios Stefanos page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
The nightlife in Agios Stefanos is based around the harbour, there's a number of restaurants that double as bars in the evening, you simply pull up a chair, grab some delicious Greek food and watch the boats come and go and the people going by.
There's no clubs, dancing, karaoke or anything like that so if that's something you want either stay somewhere else or plan a night out to one of the more lively resorts.
There’s no beach as such, although there is a small stretch of pebbles but you probably wouldn't want to spend the day there. Luckily you're not far from
Kerasia beach to the south or
Avlaki beach to the north.
There's not a huge amount of attractions in the north east, it's pretty much just a collection of small villages, that's probably what people like about it and why it's such a great place to visit and explore.
