There are two villages called Agios Stefanos in
Corfu, this one which is located on the north west of the island around 40km from the capital
Kerkyra. The airport is also around 40km away so transfers would take at least an hour and 15 minutes.
The other Agios Stefanos is in the north east and you can read more about that resort on our
Agios Stefanos NE page.
Agios Stefanos in the north west is based around a picturesque 1km long sandy cove and you can read more about that on our
Agios Stefanos North beach page.
There are several tavernas, some on the beach and some back in the main village. There’s a good number of hotels, bars and supermarkets too so you really do have everything you need for the perfect Greek island holiday right on your doorstep.
There’s also a small harbour just outside the main village where you can hire a boat and explore the Corfu coast line which is a lovely way to spend a day or an afternoon.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Agios Stefanos page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Agios Stefanos doesn’t have wild night life or English style bars, it’s a place where visitors enjoy the slower pace of life that’s on offer.
There's a family run feel to the area with most business owners being very welcoming and this leads to a lot of visitors choosing to come back year after year.
If you fancy a bit more of a night out then you're not too far from
Sidari which has some great night life options.
Also in the north west of Corfu are
Cape Drastis and
Canal D’Amour which are both beautiful places to visit for a day trip, just remember to take your camera with you.
If you have youngsters then you could go to the
Sidari Water Park. It's not a full water park but more of a hotel with some good slides but they allow outside guests to visit for 5€ each.
