Aqualand is a water park that lies 10km south west of
Kerkyra in the centre of
Corfu. It takes about 25 minutes in the car from the capital. Other villages near by are
Glyfada,
Ermones and
Pelekas on the west coast as well as
Gouvia and
Kontokali on the east coast.
Aqualand features all the usual rides that you’d expect from a modern water park. There’s a pirate play area for young kids. Gentle slides, a lazy river and a wave machine for those a bit more adventurous and free fall slides and hurricane slides for the thrill seekers. There really is something for everyone.
There are tons of sunbeds around the park that are free to use, there’s snack bars for food and drink throughout the day and it never seems to get too crowded. The best times to avoid the crowds are early morning and late afternoons.
Aqualand also has it’s own hotel so you can actually stay here for your entire trip, if you do this then they also lay on a couple of free buses, one that gets you in to Corfu town and another that goes to the beach so you’re not confined to the water park all day every day.
