About Corfu Aquarium

The Corfu Aquarium is on the north west of the island close to Paleokastritsa. It would take you around 35 minutes to make the 23km drive from Kerkyra.

The Entrance fee to the aquarium is usually 6€ for adults and 4€ for kids, it can also be combined with a nautilus boat trip expedition which makes it better value.

The aquarium has a huge parking area with over 150 spaces but as it’s shared with Paleokastritsa beach and and the other beaches in the area so it does fill up quickly.

The aquarium is a wooden building with several tanks inside, the larger ones featuring lobsters, octopuses and eels and smaller tanks with many types of fish and other sea life. There’s also a section with exotic creatures such as snakes, lizards and chameleons among others.

The Corfu Aquarium staff add a lot to the experience including offering some valuable information about the animals that you’re looking at as well as allowing people to hold some of the reptiles like the snakes and iguanas. It’s probably only a 30 minute visit but if you are in the area visiting one of the near by beaches or staying in Paleokastritsa then it’s definitely worth checking out, particularly if you have kids.
