Gouvia Marina is a large privately owned marina close to
Gouvia village on the east coast and just 12km from
Kerkyra. It has 1235 berths using both permanent and floating pontoons, there are also dry dock facilities for about 520 boats.
Gouvia marina operates all year round, 24 hours a day and is well worth a visit to watch the boats coming and going or to have a wander about. There’s a number of tavernas around the Marina and these are the perfect locations to indulge in a bit of people watching.
From the marina you’ll also be able to join many excursions either around the island of
Corfu or over to mainland Greece or another nearby island. You can also rent a boat to sail around the coast yourself.
As well as the tavernas you’ll also find restaurants, bars, hotels and shops in the surrounding area as well as the abandoned
Venetian Arsenal and the village of
Kontokali.
