Cape Drastis is a private section of the coast found up in the far north west of the island, it would take about an hour to make the 40km journey from the capital in a car or taxi and considerably longer by bus or quad bike.
Cape Drastis offers spectacular 360 degree views with gorgeous white cliffs and stunning azure blue waters as the backdrop, it’s easy to see why the area is popular with nature lovers and photographers. As well as being a good photography spot Cape Drastis is also a lovely place to have a walk, some people take the hours walk along the coastal road from
Sidari or other nearby villages, otherwise you can just wander round the coast itself.
Lately it has been reported that the gate is shut and there’s no access to the cape itself. If it is open then it usually costs 5€ per person. Even if it is closed there’s still great views and photographic opportunities on the way down the road leading to the cape particularly at the viewpoint just south west of the cape itself.
Also in the area is the
Canal D’Amor so if you are making the trip up to the north west or staying close by then try to take in both sights.
