Kardamena beach is at the southern end of
Kardamena town on the south coast of
Kos. It’s a large sandy beach found at the end of the harbour area close to many sea front bars.
The beach, like Kardamena itself gets very popular, mainly with the younger crowd that are looking to party in the evening and recover on the beach in the day. The facilities include water sports, lots of sun loungers and a wide choice of tavernas at the rear of the beach where you can get snacks and drinks. The beach itself is fairly wide at the harbour end but narrows as you head south away from the town.
Parking can be difficult around the beach as the roads can be a bit narrow but there are a number of places to leave the car within walking distance of the beach.
Also in Kardamena are a couple of smaller beaches, there is a little beach at the other end of the main bar street close to the middle of the town, probably not somewhere to spend the day but it is great for somewhere to sit whilst eating an ice cream or simply taking a break from exploring the town.
Then there’s another slightly larger beach at the northern end of the town by the banana beach bar. This is somewhere you can spend the day as it’s a bit quieter with it being on the edge of town, it’s easy to park there and you have the bar available for food, drink and sun lounger hire.
