Psalidi is a small resort on the east coast of Kos just south of the capital, it’s possible to make the walk from Kos town in about half an hour. The airport is around 28km away so will take over 30 mins to drive in a car or slightly longer if you get the bus.
Psalidi is a fairly modern region and home to some of the best hotels on the island, this includes huge 5* hotels, suites, apartment complexes and general up market places to stay.
The area is perfect for families as there’s a pleasant and safe beach (Psalidi beach), a small number of restaurants and bars as well as supermarkets, souvenir shops and vehicle hire shops. To keep everyone in your party entertained there’s a mini golf course and a scuba diving school.
Psalidi is recommended for those people that want a quieter break away from the busy centre of Kos town but close enough to be able to visit regularly and enjoy the night life if the mood strikes.
Also not far from Psalidi, on the south coast are the hot springs so if you fancy visiting Thermes beach then Psalidi is a good place to start from. The trip will take about 15 minutes in the car.
