Ornos is a beautiful coastal area with a beach, located in the south western part of Mykonos island, approximately 3.5 km from Mykonos Town.
Ornos has a medium-sized beach with coarse sand and some pebbles, the beach has a few tavernas, hotels, bars, and villas for rent nearby. The beach is also accompanied by a small stone-built harbour that is great for taking pictures and fishing in the afternoon as well as a bit of people watching.
In general, Ornos is a quiet tranquil area, ideal for any type of tourists and especially those looking for a relaxing atmosphere with a few basic amenities away from large crowds, noise, and wind. Although not the greenest spot in the island, Ornos is one of the cleanest areas you’ll find in Mykonos as there are no visible signs of adulteration.
The Ornos coast offers daily boat and yacht services that travel around the length of the coast and over to the neighbouring island of Delos, which is reachable by boat in 20-30 minutes.
