Lardos is a village just west of
Lindos, close to the middle of the east coast of
Rhodes. It's around 50km from the capital
Rhodes town and that would be about an hours drive.
Transfer times from Rhodes airport to Lardos will typically be around an hour but could be more if you're not the first drop off.
The hub of Lardos is the central square where all the roads into the town converge, this is where you'll find a collection of tavernas, supermarkets cafes and shops. As well as these there's car hire shops and cash machines available should you require them.
Although the village centre is inland there are several large hotels on the beach front which is about a 30 minute walk away or a couple of minutes in the car. These places are ideal for package holiday makers as the hotels have great pools and you can easily visit the beach too.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Lardos page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Nightlife in Lardos is pretty minimal, there's a few tavernas where you can get a nice meal and have a few drinks afterwards, including some delicious cocktails and if you're lucky a bit of live music but that's about it.
If you fancied a more lively night out then you'd have to make the short trip to Lindos where there's loads of bars, clubs and other evening entertainment.
Between Lardos village and the beach front area there's a mini golf course and a go karting track so if you have youngsters to keep entertained these could be great options.
Lardos is just 15 minutes drive from Lindos so you can easily visit the
acropolis of Lindos or just explore the village itself, Lindos is well worth a visit so definitely check that out if you do decide to stay in Lardos.
Another village nearby is
Pefkos. It's got slightly more going on than Lardos whilst retaining a bit of character and charm and it's just 45 minutes walk along the coastal road or a few minutes in the car.
