Pastida is just south of
Kremasti and
Ialyssos up in the north of
Rhodes island. It's 10km away from the capital
Rhodes Town and that's about a 20 minute drive.
Transfer times from Rhodes airport to Pastida will be around 15 minutes or maybe a bit more if you're not the first drop off.
Pastida isn't one of the most popular tourist resorts but it does still have all the facilities you might need. There's a small selection of hotels and restaurants as well as bakeries, supermarkets, cash machines, car hire shops and more.
Most of the towns amenities are around the main road that loops it's way through the centre, off that are a bunch of smaller side roads where you'll find the little family run hotels and smaller businesses.
As Pastida is not a tourist heavy destination it'll appeal more to those who want to get away from the crowds of Rhodes Town or
Faliraki but still be within striking distance of the best parts of the island. Car hire is recommended so you can explore the region easily.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Pastida page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Nightlife in Pastida is minimal, whilst there's a few tavernas where you can get an evening meal and a few drinks, maybe even some cocktails, you wont find late night bars and clubs.
If you want a night out then heading to Faliraki or Rhodes town will be your best option.
As Pastida is inland there's no beach but it's simple enough to head up to
Kremasti beach to enjoy some wind surfing or down to
Faliraki beach which is one of the best sandy beaches on the island.
The Bee museum is found a couple of minutes south of Pastida. It's a lovely place to visit, whilst there you'll learn about the bees and honey making techniques. You can also pick up some gorgeous locally produced honey in the shop.
