Little banana beach is located on the west coast of
Skiathos, just north of
big banana beach and is the islands only official nudist beach. Little banana is often referred to as small banana beach.
To get to the beach you can drive and park in the car park at bus stop 26, alternatively get the bus to stop 26, from there it’s a walk along the path, past the new hotel, you take the same route as if you were going to big banana but then there’s a path that leads off to the north that gets you to little banana beach.
Little banana is well organised with luxury sun loungers and umbrellas available to hire, there’s a taverna for food and drink but no water sports. If you do fancy some adrenaline rides then the short walk to big banana is no trouble, just remember to get dressed first.
Some would say that little banana beach has lost a lot of its charm since the new hotel opened and the taverna and sun loungers got updated. Since then the cost of food, drinks and loungers has gone up significantly and the loungers are more tightly packed in. There is still space left free away from the loungers so if you don’t fancy paying the premium then bring a towel and anything else you might need and stake out a little bit of sand to yourself.
As little banana is the only official nudist beach it can get pretty busy, particularly in the peak summer months but despite it’s name the beach is a decent size so at quieter times of year it’s not over crowded.
