Achladies is a small resort 4.6km south west of
Skiathos town which is a short 10 minute drive away. The nearest bus stop is number 10.
Calling Achladies a resort is a bit of a stretch, it’s a tiny village with a small collection of hotels, apartments, a couple of beach side tavernas, a couple of supermarkets, a bar and a bakery. It’s not one of the more popular resorts on the island but as it’s close to the capital and even has a water taxi that gets you there in just a few short minutes it’s a good choice for those that want a bit of peace and quiet but with the option of heading into town for a night out or two.
The water taxi goes from in front of the Esperides hotel, alternatively you can use the local bus service to make the trip to the main town, the bus would obviously be the cheaper option but the water taxi gives better scenery along the way and is less crowded.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Achladies page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Nightlife in Achladies is, as you might expect, quiet and low key. It'll consist of a nice meal in one of the tavernas and then a few drinks and that's about it.
There's no late night bars or clubs so if you want that sort of night life you'd have to head to Skiathos Town.
Achladies is in a pretty good location as you can head north to the capital and south towards
Koukounaries and take in most of the south east coast of the island with just a short bus ride in either direction.
If you’re thinking of staying in the area then you’ll want to check out
Achladies Beach It's a narrow sandy beach offering sun loungers, water sports and much more. Other beaches in the area include
Vassilias beach and
Tzaneria beach.
