Vassilias is another relaxed resort tucked into the
Skiathos hillside, it’s part way between
Skiathos Town and the Kalamaki peninsula. Transfers from the airport to Vassilias will be around 20 minutes.
They’re really isn’t much to Vassilias with just a handful of hotels and a sandy beach, there’s no village centre or choice of restaurants, there’s no supermarket or any other shops either. Most people that stay here will be on a package holiday and likely staying at the
Kassandra bay resort and spa hotel.
Vassilias merges with Achladies to the south so you can easily walk between the two, this does give you some options for supermarkets and other amenities but Achladies is a small village too so there's still not a huge amount there.
One of the best things about Vassilias is
Vassilias beach, it’s a gorgeous sandy stretch that slopes gently so it’s perfect for kids, there’s tavernas, water sports and much more making it the perfect spot to relax for the day.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Vassilias page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Nightlife in Vassilias is virtually non-existent, the beach front bar stays open for evening meals and drinks but other than staying in the hotel bar that's about your only choice.
Luckily you can easily get to other resorts on the island, either on the bus or with your own transport and enjoy the nightlife there.
Bus stop 8 is the main one for Vassilias, with 7 being at the northern end of Vasilias beach and 9 being just past the village towards Achladies. This central location means you can easily head north to Skiathos town or south towards
Koukounaries as well as visiting the other villages in between.
