Alexandra beach is located on the south coast of
Thassos within walking distance of
Potos. It’s a 45 minute drive round the west coast from
Limenas but just 5 minutes from
Limenaria.
The beach is a little over 300m long and fairly deep, it has coarse sand, shingle and pebbles under foot with some areas being mainly sandy and others being all stones but most of the beach is somewhere in between.
Alexandra beach is well organised with 4 or 5 rows of sun loungers covering part of the beach as well as some luxury loungers available to hire. There’s a taverna on the beach to keep you fed and hydrated through out the day. There’s no water sports but there is a jetty with a platform at the end which is great fun to jump and dive off into the sea. The lack of sand probably means toddlers wont enjoy it as much as the sandy beaches on the island.
If you want to stay close to Alexandra beach then there’s a few options available, there’s a large hotel called the
Alexandra Beach Spa as well as a campsite and a couple of smaller places near by too.
