Astris beach is located on the south coast of
Thassos island, it’s around 50km from the capital
Limenas and that would usually take about an hour to drive. It’s just along the coast from Astrida beach and also not far from
Psili Ammos beach either.
Astris beach is a decent size, roughly 260m long and 30m at it’s widest point so you should be able to find a bit of space for yourself, even though it’s pretty popular in the summer months.
There’s mainly sand under foot but there are a few strips of stones in places and the sea bed is stony too, beach shoes might be a good idea when swimming if the stones bothers you.
There are sun loungers laid out in front of the taverna which also plays music and serves food and drinks throughout the day.
There’s also showers, toilets and changing cubicles available on Astris beach. Parking is limited at the rear of the beach so arrive early to make sure you get a spot, alternatively there’s some room over the other side of the road which is just a short walk to the beach.
