Pefkari beach is on the south west coast of
Thassos between
Limenaria and
Potos. It’s mainly sand but with some stone strips in places. The beach is around 350m long and 50m deep at it’s widest.
It’s a popular and well organised beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available to hire as well as tavernas playing music and serving food and drink all day. There’s a volleyball net and water sports like banana boats, pedalos, jet skis and others available for the more active beachgoers.
Although most of the beach is covered in sun loungers in the summer months, they’re not too tightly packed in so doesn’t feel as claustrophobic as some of the most popular beaches, there’s also a section that’s usually clear at the rear of the beach around the middle where you can simply relax or play on the sand.
Pefkari beach is easy to get to as it’s just off the main coastal road and very well signposted so you wont miss the turning. Once you get down to the beach you’ll find a small area to leave the car and a road that runs along the rear of the beach. This road is home to a number of tavernas, a couple of places to stay and the campsite too so if you want to grab, lunch or an evening meal before heading back to your hotel you can, you could also stay near by if you wanted to.
