Skidia is a tiny sandy beach in amongst the rocks between
Aliki beach and
Thimonia beach on the south coast of
Thassos island.
Although there is a tiny beach most people that visit lay a towel on the rocks as the sandy part of the beach is barely big enough for a handful of people. The entrance to the sea gets deep quickly and with all the rocks it is definitely not suitable for youngsters.
There’s no taverna on the beach but Kekes restaurant and apartments are just 160m away and if you’re on the rocks that side of the beach it’s even less. There’s no facilities, no sun beds, no toilets or showers and parking is at the restaurant. There’s a set of steps into the sea but most prefer to jump from the rocks, just make sure it’s safe first!
Skidia beach is not one of the popular beaches on the island so it’s great for getting away from the tourist crowds and can easily be visited at the same time as the other nearby beaches or as part of a trip to
Giola which is just a 10 minute drive away.
