Sotiros, also known as Sotiras is a small village on the west coast of
Thassos. It's perched 350m up mount Ipsárion and just inland from
Skala Sotiros.
It's a gorgeous little village offering views over the Aegean with less than 100 houses, a handful of places to stay, a couple of little churches and a single taverna.
Sotiros probably isn't the sort of village that most visitors to Thassos would want to stay in but it would be ideal for people who want to be away from the crowds and experience some of the traditional charm that Greece has to offer.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Sotiros page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
Nightlife in Sotiros is virtually non-existent. It'll pretty much consist of a nice meal and a couple of drinks in the taverna or hotel bar. Sotiros isn't the sort of place that you go for nightlife, you go for the peace and quiet.
Sotiros is in land so there's no beach, the coastal region called Skala Sotiros is home to
Skala Sotiros beach. It also has a small marina and some water front bars and restaurants which makes it a nice place to spend some time.
