Porto Zorro beach is on the north coast of the Vasilikos peninsular down in the south east corner of
Zakynthos (Zante) island. At just 11km away, It’s a short 20 minute drive from the islands capital
Zakynthos Town.
The beach itself is just over 300m long and 15m wide, for the most part it’s sandy but there are some stones and seaweed around the waters edge plus some large rocks at the eastern end. There’s a ton of sun loungers, 3 or 4 rows that are quite tightly packed in. There’s so many that they cover most of the eastern side of the beach, with the western end left clear.
There’s a hotel called Porto Zorro Beach Hotel right at the edge of the beach as well as a separate taverna too. You can grab lunch and sit at a beach side table and enjoy the views along with your meal.
There’s no water sports at Porto Zorro beach and with a lack of open space it’s difficult for kids to play freely. The water does stay shallow though so they’ll love playing in the water.
There’s hundreds of parking spaces available for those travelling to the beach both around the hotel and the taverna. There’s also a number of other beaches in the area including
Kaminia Beach,
Ionio Beach and
Banana Beach too.
