As the largest and liveliest resort on Zante, Laganas is practically without competition. This huge development on the southwest coast is highly popular with young adults looking to party.
Its expansive beach (Laganas Beach) is home to clean, shallow water and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, but still stays true to its mission to protect endangered sea turtles. As a result, tourists aren’t permitted on the shore at night, but fortunately you’ll have plenty to occupy you in town.
From nightclubs and karaoke bars to café movie screenings and pub quizzes, the village is teeming with enjoyable nightlife.
You’ll also find a huge variety of accommodations and a wide array of dining choices, including Greek, English, Chinese, Italian, Indian, and fast food restaurants. Some of the traditional tavernas in town also offer live music and dance performances.
Easily accessible from Zakynthos town, Laganas also hosts several shops where you can pick up groceries, baked goods, jewelry, leatherwork, clothing, and handmade products.
