Tsilivi, also known as Planos is one of the most developed and popular resorts in
Zakynthos. It’s found on the east coast of the island just 10 minutes north of
Zakynthos Town.
It’s extremely popular with tourists as it has everything you need including a wide range of hotels, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, car hire shops, ATMs and anything else you can think of.
On top of that there’s a huge sandy beach with tavernas and sun loungers available to hire. Paragliding, jet skis, and other water sports are available on
Tsilivi beach, as well as boat tours to the
Blue Caves and
Smugglers Cove.
If you plan on staying in Tsilivi then you’ll have no shortage of choices of where to stay. There’s tons of options including a campsite just north of the town.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Tsilivi page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
There’s ample to do once the sun goes down, there’s karaoke if that’s you’re thing. Pub quizzes, live music and Greek nights too.
If you want to stay out late then there’s a number of pubs and cocktail bars that stay open late, there’s even a club that stays open well into the early hours for real party goers.
Don’t expect the night life to be as lively as Laganas, that’s the main 18-30 resort in Zakythos and is very lively, Tsilivi is more of an all rounder, it’s great for families but has some good night life too.
In Tsilivi, you’ll find all sorts of entertainment that’s absolutely perfect for those with families that need to be kept entertained. There’s a mini golf course, bowling alley, amusement park, and a reptile house, which offers guided tours of over 50 species.
Another option for entertaining the little ones is Tsilivi water park, it offers loads of slides, tubes, a kids area and lazy river amongst others. Perfect for a day or two.
For those that like a bit of culture, there’s a Venetian Watch Tower at the northern end of the beach, it’s fairly small but does give decent views of the area. There’s also a maritime museum and an olive oil museum too.
