Casino beach isn't a beach in it's own right, it's actually a section of
Elli beach on the north eastern tip of
Rhodes island. Specifically, it's the section outside the casino, hence the name.
The beach, like Elli, is made up of coarse sand and stones. The water is clear but does get deep pretty quickly so keep an eye on weak swimmers. It's shielded from the winds by the casino and other buildings so will feel hotter than the beaches on the west of the island.
As Casino beach is a section of the main beach in Rhodes Town it's pretty popular at all times. The beach is covered with row after row of sun loungers with virtually no space left open for those that prefer to lay out a towel rather than renting a sun lounger.
There's no water sports directly on the Casino beach section but there are some on Elli beach so that should keep the thrill seekers in your group from getting bored. There's also a diving platform about 50m offshore, this is just to the south of Casino beach. Don't expect to play any beach sports though as there simply isn't the space.
Due to it's location on the edge of
Rhodes town most people visiting will be those staying in the area, if you're coming from further afield you may find it difficult to get a parking space as they get snapped up as soon as they're available but you should find one eventually, it may just be a bit of a walk away from the beach itself.
