Ialyssos, otherwise known as Trianda is a tourist resort on the north west coast of
Rhodes. It’s just 10km away from the capital
Rhodes Town which is about a 15 minute drive.
Transfer times to and from Ialyssos will be just 10 to 20 minutes as it’s only about 7 kilometres away from Rhodes airport.
The town is spread out over a large area with dozens of hotels, including large, all-inclusive style places close to the beach as well as many smaller, family run ones too. There's an almost endless supply of restaurants and tavernas with Chinese, Italian and of course traditional Greek.
On top of this there's a ton of other shops from bakeries, coffee shops, car hire outlets, supermarkets and much more. Ialyssos is a huge region and really does have everything you could possibly need.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Ialyssos page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here.
The nightlife in Ialyssos is excellent, you have tons of great restaurants to choose from and you can even find Greek nights with dancing and traditional music to keep you entertained.
There's not a huge party scene but you can find karaoke, live music, cocktail bars and even a small club too so there should be something to suit most peoples tastes.
Ialyssos merges into
Ixia as you head to the east and you can easily walk from one to the other so if you want to explore there you can do that, either on a short visit or for a full day out. It's also neighbours with
Kremasti to the west so again, you can visit there and enjoy everything Kremasti has to offer too.
There's a beach at Ialyssos which is well known for having stronger winds and therefore being good for windsurfing and other water sports. The beach is pebble rather than sand so it wont be to everyone's tastes. For more info head to the
Ialyssos beach page.
