Theologos is a small village on the north west coast of
Rhodes, close to the airport and just over 20km from
Rhodes Town the islands capital. Transfers from the airport will be under half an hour and a visit to the capital would take just over half an hour.
There isn't a particular town centre or focal point to Theologos, it's based around the main road that runs parallel to the coast and this is where you'll find the bulk of the supermarkets, restaurants, car rental places and other shops.
There's also a more traditional village slightly in land which is a lovely place to explore but doesn't offer any extra tourist facilities.
There's not a huge amount of hotels to choose from but there are a few dotted about with a couple of larger complexes down by the sea front. The same goes for restaurants, there's a few but not a massive selection.
If you'd like to stay in the area then have a look at the Theologos page of booking.com
here. Alternatively find a great package holiday through Tui
here or Jet2
here.
Night life in Theologos is minimal, there's a few nice restaurants and bars but you wont find night clubs or late night party venues. There are a couple of cocktail bars with music so it's not completely lifeless.
If you want a bigger night out you'd have to travel up to
Ialyssos,
Ixia or over to Rhodes Town where there's much more on offer.
Theologos and the northern coast in general can get fairly windy which is why there's a couple of windsurfing and kite surfing places where you can take a course to suit all abilities.
If you're someone that enjoys historical sites then Theologos is home to the
Temple of Apollo Erethimios. There's not a lot to see or do there but there are some low level walls remaining, there's info boards explaining what would have been here and drawings of how it may have looked.
