About Marmari Beach

Marmari beach is at the edge of Marmari town in Kos, it’s roughly in the middle of the north coast which makes it just under half an hour from the islands capital Kos Town.

The beach at Marmari is huge and sandy with all the amenities you could need including sunbeds to hire, water sports like wind surfing, kite surfing, kayaks and thrill rides like banana boats to keep you entertained. Toilets, showers, easy parking on the road at the back of the beach or in dedicated car parks and plenty of tavernas, restaurants, shops and bars at the rear of the beach means you really do have everything you could possibly want right there at your fingertips.

As Marmari is a hot spot for visitors and holiday makers you’ll find the beach gets fairly busy every day during the summer months but as it’s such a vast beach it doesn’t feel over crowded and you can often find a bit of space to yourself if that’s what you want.

Marmari beach is good for all the family, the only thing to be aware of is that this part of the island often has strong winds, there are wind breaks available but it does mean the sea can be a little choppy at times so you’ll need to keep a close eye on the weaker swimmers in your group.
