Eleftherias square is one of the busiest meeting places in
Kos town for both locals and tourists. It's located just off the main road that runs along the side of the harbour.
Surrounded by restaurants, Eleftherias square is the perfect spot to stop for a drink, some lunch or an evening meal and watch the locals and tourists going about their business and there's no shortage of options, both on the square and in the side roads around it.
There's also a tree lined street that runs down by the
Ancient Agora with more dining options. Just remember that with it being a popular area it’s one of the more expensive places to eat in Kos town.
Also in Eleftherias square is the market hall where you can get fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices as well as locally produced oils and honeys. In the market you’ll also find souvenirs and alcoholic drinks too. As well as the market there's a large mosque called Defterdar Mosque and the
Archaeological Museum of Kos so plenty to see and do.
