Kamari beach is a small shingle beach towards the south west of
Kos island just 2km from
Kefalos and 45km from
Kos town. There are sections that are sandy and some that are more pebbles but the majority is shingle.
There’s a small shop at the back of the beach and a couple of tavernas too. Sun beds are available to rent but there’s no water sports or other facilities unless you continue on to the longer stretch of beach called
Kefalos beach.
Kamari beach is divided in two by a large stone Jetty with the left side of the Jetty being smaller but slightly more sandy and the right side being more beautiful with the rocky mountainside at the far end and more pebbles under foot.
Which ever side you choose you wont be alone, both sides are reasonably popular but neither get crowded, mainly due to the more popular areas of Kefalos beach and
Agios Stefanos beach that are just a bit further up the coast.
Parking is available in the small car park by the right side of the beach or along the main road.
