Limanaki beach is the main beach in
Limenas, it’s not right in the centre of town as the old and new harbours take up most of the water front in the area. To find it head up to the north east of the town and it’s just a couple of minutes walk.
The beach is sand and small pebbles and the entrance to the sea is shallow, there isn’t too much of a tide making Limanaki a great option for families, particularly if you're staying in town and just need somewhere to cool off for a while.
The location of Limanaki beach right in the town, coupled with the fact that it’s just over 200m long and quite narrow means it can feel a bit crowded. There are sun loungers available to hire and they are quite tightly packed out the front of the multiple tavernas that line the rear of the beach, this isn’t to everyone’s taste but the music, cocktails and wifi that the beach bars offer will be great for others.
Most people that visit Limanaki beach have simply walked from the their hotels in Limenas, if you’re coming from further afield though you will find a small amount of parking on the roadside behind the beach, alternatively find somewhere to park in Limenas and walk to the beach from there, it's not far.
