Makryammos is a gorgeous sandy beach on the north coast of
Thassos close to the capital
Limenas. It’s around a 5 to 10 minute drive or about a half an hour walk from the centre of Limenas.
The beach is around 220m long from north to south, it’s just 25m deep at the southern end but the northern end is much wider at roughly 70m. It’s up the northern end where you’ll find the volleyball net and some space to yourself. The rest of the beach is usually covered in sun loungers. Other facilities include a WC, showers and a taverna serving food and drink all day.
Makryammos beach has soft fine sand and the shallow entrance to the sea which makes it a good beach for youngsters. There’s water sports available which includes water-skiing, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and pedalos.

If you’re not staying in the bungalows then you can visit Makryammos beach and pay an entrance fee, this will get you access to all the hotel facilities like the pool and tennis courts too. Parking is available for those coming by car.
