Amoudi beach is on the north east coast of
Zakynthos, just east of
Alykanas and around 16 kilometres from the islands capital
Zakynthos town.
The beach is really narrow and can even be covered completely by water at times. There’s a stone jetty in the middle of the beach and a handful of sun loungers are also available when there’s room for them. Don’t expect water sports or other entertainment though.
The slope into the sea is gentle and there’s sand under foot so it’s a fun place for kids to play. There’s a small wall at the rear of the beach and a couple of tavenas sit behind the wall, there’s a handful of steps from the beach to get into the tavernas where you can get food and drink and enjoy the views. The tavernas also have sun loungers on the grass above the beach so if there’s none available on the beach itself this is a great alternative.
There’s parking around the taverna closest to the jetty and some roadside parking available too. As the beach is so small it’s usually enough space.
If you want to stay in the area then there are a couple of apartments and studios just behind the tavernas as well as some larger hotels just down the coast a bit.
