The agricultural museum is just a stone’s throw away from the east coast beach resort of
Alykes, in the tiny village of Pigadakia. That means it’s around 16km from the capital
Zakynthos Town which would usually take roughly 20 minutes to drive.
If you enjoy learning about the culture and history on your Greek island holiday then why not visit the Cultural and Agricultural Museum where they have been informing visitors since 1998 on how the islands farming and crop cultivation was done over the years.
Zakynthos Island has a rich agricultural history and you’ll still find vineyards and olive groves sprinkled liberally across the island. Explore over 200 years’ worth of authentic Greek rural artefacts, including cooking utensils, grape presses, wheat grinders, and more.
After paying homage to the island’s agricultural past, get out and see some of the real Greek villages still following these traditions on the northern and western parts of the island.
