Kaisers Throne is one of the highest points in
Corfu and is located west of the capital
Kerkyra, it’s around 14km from the capital and that’s about a 25 minute drive. It’s also right next to
Pelekas and not far from
Glyfada so if you’re staying in either of those towns or visiting them then it’s easy to make the trip from there.
Kaisers Throne has a horseshoe shaped viewing deck that offers spectacular panoramic views of Corfu island. On a clear day you can even see both the east and west coasts. There’s a set of binoculars on the viewing deck but some recent reports say that they are not working so if you have your own take them with you.
If you’re driving to Kaisers Thrown then it’s easy to find and well signposted from Pelekas village, it’s free to visit and widely regarded as a “must see” whilst on the island. There’s a small parking area for around 20 cars and that’s normally enough but if not there’s roadside parking available too. Also in the area there’s a hotel with a nice restaurant that offers similar views and it’s a great place for a sunset dinner or lazy lunch.
