Agia Paraskevi beach is located on the east coast of Thira adjacent to the airport. It’s around 10km from the capital
Fira and that’s about a 15 to 20 minute drive.
Agia Paraskevi has coarse black sand and pebbles like most of the beaches in
Santorini. It stretches on for miles but only the middle of the beach has umbrellas and sunbeds available to hire. There’s also a couple of hotels around the middle of the beach where you can get refreshments and food to keep you going all day.
The rear of the beach is lined with trees offering some much needed shade and the water slopes gently into the water making it a great option for youngsters.
Along the length of the beach you’ll find a number of hotels so you can base yourself here for the entire duration of your holiday if you want to stay away from the busier towns on the west coast. Alternatively you can visit for the day just to break up what can otherwise be a hectic holiday on Santorini island.
