Potos is a popular sand and shingle beach on the south west coast close to
Limenaria. It’s around 500m long and 20m wide but gets wider at the northern most end.
Potos is a continuation of
San Antonio beach which makes this a great area for a long coastal walk along the waters edge. Potos beach is roughly 500m long but with San Antonio it’s over 1km.
There's a full set of facilities at Potos beach including water sports, toilets, showers, parking and multiple tavernas selling food and drink as well as playing music to entertain beach goers throughout the day.
At the back of the beach is a paved walkway with bars and outdoor seating, this is a lovely place to enjoy lunch and watch the world go by.
The northern end of the beach is the most popular and it gets quieter as you head south towards San Antonio beach. Parking is available at the harbour or at the roadside close to the beach.
There’s a small harbour at the northern end of Potos beach where you can jump on the blue sky boat and explore the
Thassos coast line, it’s a day trip that includes stops at several beaches around the south coast, a BBQ lunch and a few drinks. Definitely worth a look if you have the time and don’t get sea sick.
