Alykanas beach is located close to the centre of the north east coast of
Zakynthos, it’s about 15km from the islands capital
Zakynthos Town and that would usually take around 25 minutes to drive.
Alykanas beach is a natural continuation of
Alykes Beach and slashes a dramatic curving coast around a crystalline cove. Its sheltered, shallow waters are ideal for children and others in need of safe swimming options, but thrill seekers will have plenty to do as well.
Pedalos, ringos, paragliding, banana boats… the list of available watersports goes on and on. If you’d prefer to simply sun yourself on the soft sands then you should be able to find a section of sand to call your own as the beach stretches out for over 1km and although narrow in some places, it is up to 30m wide in others.
There are plenty of beach bars and vendors ready to fuel your tanning with a cool drink or quick snack. Parking is available around some of the beach bars and the roads that lead down to them, there’s also some spaces at the roadside behind the beach and around the harbour end.
