Kalamia beach is a beautiful quiet cove and the most northerly of the
Lassi beaches along the Fanari road.
Kalamia beach never gets too busy and is usually very peaceful, facilities include sun beds with umbrellas and a small bar for drinks, snacks and lunch, there’s a shower to refresh at the end of your visit but no toilets, there’s also no water sports or pedalo hire or anything like that so it’s probably not ideal for youngsters who get bored easily.
The beach has interesting white rock cliffs to the south and is made up of grey sand with a shingle strip at the waters edge. It has great views out over to the Paliki peninsular and gorgeous waters.
Kalamia beach is relatively easy to get to, it’s walkable from both Lassi and
Argostoli, if you’re coming from further afield then you’ll have to make your way down the slightly tricky and steep road, once there you’ll find a small amount of parking along the road behind the beach but be careful as it’s not the easiest place to park with poor visibility.
