Xi beach is a popular stretch of coast just a few kilometres south of
Lixouri on the south coast of the Paliki peninsular in
Kefalonia. Due to the location it’s a long drive from the main part of Kefalonia, it’s around an hour from Argostoli and over an hour and a half down to Skala so it’s mainly popular with those staying in the area.
Xi beach has soft red sand and plenty of water sports, there’s also beach side bars with great facilities including luxury loungers and umbrellas with tables.
On the main part of the beach there’s a few rows of basic loungers where it gets quite busy, especially as the beach is quite narrow at this point. There are quieter areas at either end away from the bars for those that prefer a more low key day at the beach.
Xi beach is surrounded by white clay cliffs which gives it a striking appearance that’s quite different from the other beaches in Kefalonia. It’s safe for kids and has parking available so if you’re in the area then why not pop over and spend some time on this fabulous stretch of Ionian coast.
