The Sunset in Fira is a fantastic event and enjoyed by almost everyone in the town. Much like the
sunset in Oia, the best thing to do is find yourself a restaurant or bar that has a Caldera facing balcony, get a table booked well in advance, then all you have to do is sit back and relax as the sun goes down.
Alternatively find an area with a wall or a section of the steps where you can get a good view, arrive early and don't move. It will be busy but it's a great experience that everyone should enjoy at least once.
We'd recommend taking a camera and getting a tripod so you can get a nice long exposure or a time lapse of the event. Your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social media followers will thank you for the share.
If you're not staying in
Fira then your best bet might be to get a taxi or bus into the town as parking is a little tricky. There are a couple of car parks and some street side parking but these are often full in peak times.
