Agistros beach is right next to
Elias beach on the north coast of
Skiathos, it’s a 45 minute walk along a shaded track from bus stop 23 to get to the beach so unless you enjoy a stroll it might be better to get a taxi or hire car for the journey. There’s parking available to the rear of the beach.
Once there you’ll be treated to the usual golden sand and crystal clear waters that are typical of Skiathos, you wont get the crowds that you get on the more popular beaches though so if you want a bit of peace and quiet then this could be a good option for you. Just remember that the northern beaches are more affected by the wind so the sea can be a bit difficult for weak swimmers at times.
Agistros is particularly good for snorkelling, maybe because it doesn’t have as many people disturbing the sand or just the northern area may be better than the south, either way, if you enjoy snorkelling this is a good option.
As with many of the quieter beaches on the northern side of Skiathos, you may find the far ends of Agistros beach used by naturists.
