Krifi Ammos beach is found on the west coast of
Skiathos, between
Agia Eleni beach and
Mandraki Xerxes beach. If you’re making the trip from the capital then expect it to take around 25 minutes in a car.
Krifi Ammos is a relatively unknown and unspoiled beach, especially when compared to those on the south coast of the island. There are no water sports or loud music to keep you entertained, this place is about getting away from it all and enjoying the scenery and sunshine.
The beach itself is just under 200m wide with the western end obscured by some large rocks but it is still accessible on foot. There’s soft sand under foot, rocks at both ends and the beach is backed by hills and trees making it a lovely, secluded place to spend a few hours.
There is a small taverna at Krifi Ammos beach, it’s set just above the beach and serves food and drinks. There’s a handful of sun loungers available to rent, they’re laid out in a single row so you don’t feel packed in and still get to enjoy the views.
Getting to Krifi Ammos is relatively straight forward, simply head north on the road from Agia Eleni and you should be able to see it as the road starts to turn east. There’s a small lay-by next to the track that takes you down to the beach but there’s only really room for 2 or 3 cars.
