Ftelia beach is just over a kilometre from
Skiathos Town in a south westerly direction and is a continuation of
Megali Ammos beach. At this end of the beach it starts to become a bit rocky, particularly around the waters edge and this can make getting into the sea a little tricky.
There are no tavernas on Ftelia beach itself but there are a couple along the road at the back of the beach, these are the people that rent out the sun loungers and umbrellas.
There are no water sports on Ftelia beach, which is what some people love about it, however you can always walk along the beach to Megali Ammos and use the water sports there if you fancy a banana boat or Jetski or something.
Although Ftelia is not one of the more popular beaches on
Skiathos it does sometimes feel busy due to the fact that it’s so narrow that it fills up easily. There’s no car park at the beach but the road just behind offers plenty of room to park the car. Alternatively you can take the 15 minute walk from Skiathos town or
Vassilias.
